Concept design of a remote vessel control station
Rolls-Royce Remote Control Station (RCS) concept is the next step towards remote & autonomous shipping operations. This outcome of a great team effort was presented on the Rolls-Royce Remote Operation Centre -video in September 2018.
Ergonomic factors are brought closer towards office working environment. Station raises the operator on a pedestal to create the feeling of being in control of something of a greater magnitude. Wide desk area provides space for numerous control objects for different ship types. Material and colour selections bring high-tech and maritime feel together.
